The Cake Born From a Sheep-Related Supply Problem
Venom was produced for us off the back of the success of our cake Angry Heidi. When we couldn’t get any more Angry Heidis (apparently all her sheep came home, so she wasn’t angry anymore), we approached several importers and asked if they could produce a 100-shot, 20mm, 2-minute cake we could retail for under £50. Many said it couldn’t be done, but the team at Vivid set about asking their factories to produce some demos.
Not only did we get Venom, a mid-noise cake full of colour and different effects lasting a full 120 seconds, we also got Anti-Venom, a low-noise version of the same cake. Venom carries a 2/5 noise rating, giving it more presence than its quieter sibling while still keeping things well within garden-friendly territory.
