• Are gender reveal fireworks legal in the UK?

  Yes, all of our gender reveal fireworks and smoke grenades are legal UK consumer products. F1 smoke grenades and F2 and F3 fireworks are legal for anyone over 18 in the UK with no licence required. The standard firework curfew of 11pm applies to F2 and F3 fireworks.

• What gender reveal products are available?

• Can I use gender reveal fireworks in my garden?

  This depends on the product. F1 handheld smoke grenades have no minimum safety distance and can be used in any outdoor space. F2 gender reveal barrages require an 8-metre safety distance, suitable for most standard back gardens. F3 cakes require 25 metres and need a large garden, field or open space. Always check the safety distance on each product before buying.

• Do smoke grenades stain clothes or surfaces?

  Coloured smoke grenades can leave residue on clothing, skin and surfaces if used in close proximity. We recommend holding them at arm’s length, wearing old clothes and avoiding use near light-coloured surfaces or soft furnishings. Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions for safe use.

• What is the difference between a smoke grenade and a gender reveal barrage?

  A smoke grenade produces a thick cloud of coloured smoke at ground level and is ideal for daytime reveals and photography. A gender reveal barrage is a multi-shot firework that fires a sequence of coloured aerial effects from a single fuse, creating a more dramatic reveal moment best suited to evening displays in larger outdoor spaces.

• How do I keep the gender a secret until the reveal?

  Ask a trusted friend or family member to place the order on your behalf. If you’ll be handling the products before the reveal, ask your secret keeper to wrap them or store them out of sight so you don’t spot the colour in advance.Fireworks must not be set off between 11pm and 7am on most nights, except on Bonfire Night when the cut off is midnight, and on New Year’s Eve, Diwali and Chinese New Year when the cut off is 1am. You must not set off fireworks in the street or other public places. Always check with your local council regarding any local rules before your event.

• How long do gender reveal smoke grenades last?

  Most of our gender reveal smoke grenades produce thick coloured smoke for between 60 and 90 seconds, giving you plenty of time for photographs and video. Always check the individual product listing for specific burn times before buying.

• Can I combine smoke grenades with gender reveal barrages?

  Yes, combining a smoke grenade with a gender reveal barrage gives you both a stunning ground-level smoke effect and dramatic aerial firework effects, creating a complete reveal display.
