Terminal Velocity By Vivid Pyrotechnics

164 Shots, Under a Minute, Full Speed From First Shot to Last

Terminal Velocity does exactly what it says on the tin, this thing accelerates and never lets off the gas. A great pace to the firing throughout, 164 shots in just under a minute is always going to be impressive, but it’s the relentless sweep from start to finish that makes this one stand out. Fired from 25mm tubes with a 4/5 noise rating, this is a mixed-shape piece built entirely around momentum.

It launches with a fan of blue tails to gold wave to red with blue, then keeps sweeping across the sky through red and blue wave, purple tails to orange and purple wave, yellow tails to orange and blue wave, and red tails to red wave. A rapid fanned volley of the same brings that opening section to a close before the pace shifts again, straight-firing bursts of purple tails to multi-coloured bursts and silver palms with gold flitter, another fanned section, and then a genuine rapid-fire onslaught of silver titanium bursts to finish. There’s no gentle build here, Terminal Velocity is fast from the first shot and only gets faster.
