Category F2 Fireworks. Are they all the same?
An important video from our Firework Safety Series, which gives some surprising information about CATEGORY F2 FIREWORKS.
Mark starts with a quick explanation about the differences between Category F2 and F3 fireworks and then goes on to highlight why not all Category F2 fireworks should be dealt with in the same way.
Normally, Category F2 fireworks (which have 500 grams or less of NEC or NEQ in them) can be set up with a minimum audience safety distance of 8 metres. Mark shows us that although the powder weight is less than 500 grams and therefore makes these three fireworks Category F2, the bore size can make quite a difference in the firework effect bursting in the sky. With that, at Firework Crazy, we make recommendations that the safety distances should be increased when the bore size of the firework increases.
